Words of Inspiration and Motivation

I have picked some quotes from major contributors in Early Childhood, these quotes speak volumes!

Edward Zigler ( Head Start founder)

Most mothers and fathers will shop more for a TV set than they will for a child care center for their child.

That is a powerful but truthful quote. As parents we ant the best for our children, but when it comes to childcare we tend to take what we can get. The number one issue is openings, at times some centers have waiting lists that a parent can't wait for. This is the time when they will look at other places trying to get a spot. If we could wait before needing the care and choose like we would while shopping for a new gadget we would be able to find that perfect fit childcare.

Marcy Whitebook ( Childcare employment founder)

“Teacher behavior is one of the major influences on child development”-Marcy Whitebook, Ph.D

This quote makes sense! Children learn through examples, watching their teachers interaction with others and their attitude in the classroom setting will provide social learning skills to the children in their care.

Now I will post some quotes that inspire motivation, passion, and wisdom

In order to succeed, we must first believe that we can. - Nikos Kazantzakis

Follow your passion, be prepared to work hard and sacrifice, and, above all, don't let anyone limit your dreams. Donovan Bailey

The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step. - Lao Tzu

Personal Childhood Web

I have took some time to introduce some of my family who has helped me be who I am today.

Shirley Bush ( mother) My mom is the backbone of my family she keeps all us together. She completed 20 years in the military and raised 4 children on her own. My mom's determination
showed me that all things are possible when you put your mind to it. I'm the oldest child and still the most spoiled kid! My mother calls me daily because she says she is always thinking of me.

Otis Bates ( father) My dad has always been very active in my life even though he and my mother divorced when I was 3. He completed 20 years in the military and set a good example of what pursuing your passion is. My father has always said Im his little girl forever! no matter how old I get.

Ella Bates ( grandmother) My granny is the best! I was the first born grandchild and spoiled. My grandmother taught me family is important! never lose sight on that because you only have one family!. Because of that my family is so close regardless if people are still married to others, we all keep in touch.

Getting to know me

Hello All, this is my first blog! Hopefully it will be great, and give my readers a inside look about my life.

I'll start with a recent picture of me :)

I'm currently pursuing my Master Degree in Early Childhood, I have always wanted to work with kids since I could remember. Below I posted a few things I like to share of what quotes, and books I love.

How true is this statement? We all know children learn through examples. I love this quote because me as a educator to younger children have the tools to support their foundation and make them the best they could be.

A children's book I love :

Who doesn't love this book? I have enjoyed reading this to all three of my children.
