We shall demonstrate our respect and concern for children, families, colleagues, and others with whom we work, honoring their beliefs, values, customs, languages, and culture.
This code is very meaningful to me because we all come from different backgrounds, but we come together to help each other when it comes to helping children.
We shall empower families with information and resources so that they are informed consumers of services for their children.
This is a great code so we can better inform parents of services that can benefit them and their children.
We shall use every resource, including referral when appropriate, to ensure high quality services are accessible and are provided to children and families.
This code is so true why would we provide referrals if it wasn't the correct approach? We must always make sure when trying to refer a parent to services that we are giving them the best option and service to benefit them.
I absolutely loved reading these codes of ethics. I believe that if we all follow these codes, we will definitely make a great impact on the families and children that we serve as well as an impact on the growth of the early childhood field. I always love reading information from the NAEYC and am thinking of becoming a member
ReplyDeleteI really like your post and I think that all the codes you touched on are very important in order to be a great educator in the early childhood field.
